Our recruitment process

We are a people business. Therefore, we have designed our four-stage recruitment process so that both parties get to know each other well before taking things forward.
Detica is committed to being an equal opportunities employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion or belief, colour, sex or sexual orientation, age, disability, or ethnic group. All recruitment decisions are made on the basis of qualifications, merit and business need.

STAGE 1: Application

If you are interested in working for Detica, take a look at the current opportunities available by clicking here and you can apply online.
Your CV should be no more than two pages long and should clearly set out your personal details (including address, contact number and nationality), academic qualifications, core skills, experience to date and aspirations.
Your application will be reviewed by our managers. We recruit consultants into professional groups instead of into specific roles. This provides you with more opportunities for challenge, variety and continued career development.

STAGE 2: One-to-one interview

Should your CV be of interest to us, we will invite you for a one hour, face-to-face meeting with one of our consultants. This enables us to find out a bit more about you and your skills. It also gives you the opportunity to get more information about what we do and how we work.

STAGE 3: Main interview

If we want to continue your application and you are still interested in a career at Detica, we will invite you back for a more structured three-hour interview. You will be invited to give a 20-minute presentation in an area that demonstrates your skills and experience, ideally on a topic relevant to our business. For graduates, this could be your university project. As all of our consultants are expected to interact with clients, the presentation is a useful way for you to demonstrate your communication and consulting skills.
Following the presentation and questions, you will be walked through a case study: this will illustrate the types of work we do for clients and will give you the opportunity to demonstrate your ability to think on your feet and approach client problems in a logical, structured manner. You will be given every opportunity to question our consultants on any aspect of our work, career development, culture etc. After the core interview, you will have a 30-minute discussion with a senior member of our HR team who will discuss subjects such as our remuneration package and working arrangements. Graduates will have the opportunity for an informal discussion with one of our recent graduate joiners.

STAGE 4: Decision time!

Following the interview we will decide whether to offer you a job. We aim to inform you of a decision within a week of the interview.
