Web Integration
Today, many applications are delivered using web-based interfaces. The approach can significantly reduce deployment costs and provides users with a familiar, browser-based working environment. External web sites now represent only part of this rapidly growing market, which encompasses a diverse range of enterprise applications.
Web integration means the end-to-end development and integration of a web-based interface. This involves the technical process of defining system architectures which meet functional, performance and security requirements. It addresses the development of application code and the integration of the site with existing applications, middleware, databases and content. And of course, it includes the creative design of the interface itself.
What we do
We design, build and maintain web interfaces. Our work ranges from web-enabling traditional applications, such as HR systems or trading platforms, through to the development of major B2C sites sustaining millions of hits per day. We also build sophisticated portals for B2B or B2E applications and have a particular specialism in building wireless sites which run over next generation wireless networks such as 3G.
Unusually for an IT consultancy, we have a dedicated in-house creative team who evaluate users' ergonomic and functional requirements and design innovative and effective user interfaces. You can see some examples of their work at www.three.co.uk.
Our technical web team specialises in developments based on both Java and Microsoft .NET technologies. We build sites using platforms from companies such as BEA (Weblogic), IBM (Websphere), Oracle (Application Server) and ATG (Dynamo). We also use open source platforms such as JBOSS and Tomcat.
